Underground Silence

Published by Ree at 12:21 pm under Real Life

As the granddaughter of a Pennsylvania coal miner, my heart goes out to the families in Utah. The families of the miners. The families of those who gave their lives trying to rescue the others.

This is so sad. I can’t even imagine what those families are going through.

I share in your grief. I have a lot of relative in Kentucky who are coal miners, and my heart breaks every time there is a mining disaster.

I bet it is such a small town that everyone in the entire area is feeling so much personal pain. So tragic.

Hello from San Diego–I’m also the granddaughter of a Pennsylvania coal miner, and my heart is breaking. On another note, I like your blog!

Leah Sophia - Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I lived in West Virginia for 7 years, and between heritage in Pennsylvania and the time I spent in WV, chills run through me for every mine family.
