The Contest: Travel Hell - Sometimes Getting There Sucks

Here we go y’all.
After all my whining and moaning and bitching and crying about travel fiascoes in months past, Laurel and Sonia and I thought we should come up with a contest. A contest in which three of you (3! Damn. Wish I could enter.) will get rewarded for surviving a really effed-up travel experience.
Here are the rules:
- Blog about your absolute worst travel experience (train? plane? automobile? camel-back? the mode of transportation doesn’t matter - the sheer horror of it all does. Or the funny. We like to laugh.)
- Link to us (Sass Attack - And the Pursuit of Happiness - The Hotfessional) and display the badge above (with a link to this contest*)
- Get your entry written and posted before February 3rd, 2008.
- Email us at TravHellContest@gmail.com with the link to your post.
We’ll judge 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for Excellent Prizes. (Y’know, there was Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure - hence, Excellent Prizes.)
The Excellent Prizes (something to wear, something to display, something to keep you sane) will be announced soon after February 3rd (y’all, that’s the deadline, in case you missed it up top there).
*If you need the code to link the badge, send an email to the TravelHell Contest address. We’ll get you the code.

Sounds good. I don’t have any travel hells to blog about though, so I will just be a spectator

I would love to enter into this, but it just seems like tempting fate when I have several more cross-country trips in the next month.
Let’s just say that my last flight was held up because the incoming aircraft first had an equipment issue and needed to wait for the next plane, then had a fuel truck break down right behind it as it was going to begin backing away, then at the arrival airport the jetway broke so people were stuck on the plane, then we boarded, and then the jetway broke again when trying to move away from the plane.
And I wish I could tell the story of the time I spent 16 hours in PHL, including four sitting on a plane, to go absolutely nowhere. But again, tempting fate.

I’ll have to think about this. I’ve got to have a crappy travel story in my history somewhere. Ok, I know I have many, but I have to pick the crappiest. Hmmm…….

I haven’t any travel stories (well, not ones that anyone would *want* to read) But it should be interesting to see what everyone else has to report.

My worst travel was on greyhound bus that broke down on my way to Atlantic City. I sat there on the bus for over 6 hours. No air conditioning and the smell of the public toilet on the bus was outrageous. That was last year and I have not rode a greyhound since. The bus driver had a nasty attitude too. You have some many people who really hate their jobs. And he is one of them.
Amazing Online Survey Software takes just a few minutes to launch, does not need to be downloaded and is interactive to respondents as well. All one needs to do is use the survey wizard in the web browser and get started. The first step to build a survey is to select from the given templates, where questions and answer choices can be selected. Questions can be single, multiple response, and matrix type or open ended. An entirely new survey design can be created without any programming skills.
