Public Service Announcement

Published by Ree at 1:50 pm under Because I want to share, Real Life

This is a take-out bag from Macaroni Grill:

before.jpg

This is the take-out bag from Macaroni Grill after your cat decides to try to get inside it and gets the handles up over his ears and onto his neck and tears through the house bouncing off of walls in a desperate effort to “Mom, Get the freakin’ Superman cape off of me, I only wanted to smell the fettucini that used to be inside!”

Any questions?

Supercat would totally join in on that fun. You have no idea how many plastic containers we have found on the floor. Sealed plastic containers that were once on our counter.

They contained items such as angel food cake, bread, pumpkin pie the one time, various cookies, etc…

My cat is a carb nut.

Everything now has to be placed in the refrigerator, oven, microwave, cabinets, dishwasher, etc., before we go to bed or leave the house.

    **sigh**

Bug loves your kitty. He sat here on my lap, and repeated “hi kitty” and tried to pet him. He’s 2, so I greatly appreciate anything which distracts him from emitting the Toddler Scream of Hell.

    Thank you, HotCat.

    hahahahah

a couple of years ago, in prep for a birthday party, I put the gifts in matching bags on the table . . . arranged as to make a center piece. One of our cats managed to get her head stuck in the bag handle and tore through the house . .. just as you describe . . . destroying the gift bag in the process. Fortunately, the contents of THAT bag weren’t breakable.

I cannot keep boxes or bags around the house or the evil one (Shadow) will demand that it’s hers and god forbid I try to throw it away or use it for something else. All hell breaks loose then.

I am not a cat fan. But they’re funny as hell and great entertainment sometimes, lol. As long as they belong to someone else.

One of my cats, Carmichael, likes to lick plastic bags. He doesn’t care what is IN them, he just wants to lick the bags!

He also fell in love with a large plastic bag from a Dept. store, and threw himself on it and refused to move so that I could throw it away. He would lay on it, crawl inside it and hide from our other kitty, and just generally took it over.

I think my poor kitty has a plastic deficiency in his diet . . . :-)

Why must you torture that cat with only smells of feta-chini pls?
You know I would much rather have a picture of the cat eating it.

Haha, one of my cats did the same thing not too long ago with a very similar type of bag. It’s fun to watch them tear through the house in freak-out mode, dontcha think?

  12. SarahOon 14 Feb 2008 at 8:13 pm

Our doggie does the same thing. Well, she can only get her snout in the bag but the results are the same. Afraid that she’ll go mad from the scent and start extreme kitchen nuzzling, I always end up giving her the feta-chini. All right, I give her the food because I’m a hopeless softie.

Oh, yes, I love the lolcats, too!

Dude, there is SOMETHING in the air.

I woke up yesterday morning to my cat SHREDDING an entire pad of paper! The whole pad! And it is where I write down all my search terms for Bacon.

I was livid! And that cat is lucky she is still alive.

    BACON!

haha! When I was growing up, we liked to let our cats stick their heads in our empty yogurt cups. They always tried to lick the bottom clean, and then had the cup stuck on their heads for awhile.

Years ago, on Christmas Eve, my sister and I were wrapping presents. We’d watched A Christmas Story and had enjoyed several, ok, many, adult beverages. We left the plastic grocery bag on the floor for the present-wrapping detritus. My cat Moose decided to investigate. Next thing you know, he’s rocketing around my tiny little flat, doing one of those cartoon-style laps, horizontal to the floor, having a full-on cat freak out. My sister and I very nearly peed ourselves laughing.

I’m glad I’m not the only one with a special needs cat.

EW! Anchovies. Everyone’s blogging about their Valentine’s food and even posting pics of it and my suddenly picky pregnant tummy is revolting.

We went to the Olive Garden because we had a gift card for it and I got the same thing I always get, seafood portofino. I always intend to get something new, but that’s the only thing that ever sounds good. Too bad I couldn’t get wine. Your cat would have LOVED my leftovers.
