Ok I am rivetted by the story of your great love affair with Mr Hot but I just had to leave a comment here about your hair. While being jabbed in the head does not sound like fun, I am so thrilled for you that your very funny doc thinks it will be successful. Now excuse me while i go read Part 3. I don’t have any gardening blogs to send you, just a bit of assvice: Container Gardening. You can grow some great things in containers - not palm trees, maybe, but still, some lovely flowers and best of all? No weeding.

If you’re really wanting to plant stuff in the ground, build some beds. Get some railroad ties, stack them 4 or 5 high, fill with dirt and hey, presto! Raised beds (no sore backs from weeding), no crappy soil and lots of lovely flowers and/or veggies.

Garden blogs - ummm.. don’t know any. My thumb is blacker than a piece of coal. The only thing that saves my behind is my Aerogarden (which I’m replanting again today - let’s hope I don’t go mad).

I, too, have had LOTS of plants commit suicide at the idea of having me take care of them. It is almost like they would prefer to “pitch themselves off the edge of a cliff”, so to speak, then to allow my feeble attempts at care prolong their suffering. Or *maybe* they just like to “play dead”? The world may never know. LOL
