A Request from Shortman
He asked me to “blog on my senior citizen blog” about this.
AFTER I slapped the shit out of him (kidding…not really. Yea, I am. Kinda. I gave him the glare of death, though) - I said I would.
There was a music video I remember from a long time ago, when I was a little kid. It was 5 guys and they were in a courtoom. I thought it was The New Edition. Do you know who it was? I want to know that song.

He agreed it might be. And then came his line. About, y’know, the “senior citizens’ blog.”
So, if you’re not entirely too insulted, and you remember a video with five African American guys, in a courtoom setting, (but it wasn’t a rap song, it was definitely a POP song, y’know, from when he was “little”), couldya let me know? I thought it was ABC-123, but I can’t find the actual MTV video of it.

Well, I just spent 25 minutes searching and watching my old favorites on YouTube. Jodeci, Boyz2Men, Tony Toni Tone, Blackstreet, New Edition, Bell Biv Devoe, K-Ci & JoJo, etc. It was a lot of fun but OMG, I could not find a video with any of them in a courtroom. I really hope someone knows it because NOW IT’S GOING TO KEEP ME AWAKE AT NIGHT.

Senior Citizen Blog? Hmmm… I’ll have Shortman know that just last week, I was carded for buying alcohol. (I told the cashier that I loved her and wanted to make out with her.) (Then she called security.) (Not really.) (I should STFU now.)
I have no idea what the video could be. When Shortman was a little kid, I was a teenager and at the pinnacle of my MTV watching years, but that description doesn’t sound familiar.

ARG! Beaten to the punch - El Debarge, Who’s Johnny. But then I watched the video and only saw the singer…And then watched a couple of their other videos and couldn’t believe the geri-curl! Boyz II Men? Jodeci? Are you sure it was typical top 40 pop and not something a bit grungy like Living Colour? God I love Living Colour. Throw us a bone ShortMan! Any lyrics? Ree - What year was he five? Soul II Soul?
Course now I read back through the other comments and see most of my suggestions have been hit.

Oh dear. If you have already used the cane and are now done with it, might I make a suggestion on where it needs to be placed to be considered put “up”? You know how forgetful us granny types are and it would need to be somewhere easy to find…. Tell Shortman to come on over to you and pick up that thing off the floor for you as your aging back is giving you fits. Now! Quickly put “up” the cane. LOL!
