Friday Haiku - In pictures
My favorite chair
for reading in the evening -
the quiet front porch.
The dilemma solved.
How to pretty the wellhead?
Wildflowers and art.
Waiting for bluebirds,
covered in Morning Glorys.
Their nests are still here.
The yard needs water
where Shortman pitches baseballs
and tomatoes grow.
Grass still needed cut.
Signalgrass growing too tall.
See the mower lines?
The chore is complete -
and a lesson is well learned.
Tan lines are a bitch.

Beautiful flowers! My yard, too, is fried. I’ve not mowed it in a month because of lack of rain. (Not that this is breaking my heart - I hate mowing my yard.)
