Grace in Small Things: 47/365

Published by Ree under Grace in Small Things

  • Sleeping until after 9 a.m.
  • College basketball.
  • June Gardensalad and her absolutely hilarious posts.
  • Watching the cats chase each other up and down the stairs.
  • NOT getting on a plane at early-dark-thirty tomorrow morning.

—- Because I get to stay home with Mr. Hot until Thursday’s flight to the other side of the world. —-

Wage a battle against embitterment and take part in Grace in Small Things. Thanks to Schmutzie, as always.

Happy Thanksgiving

Published by Ree under Holidays

I am thankful to be home, in the arms of my husband, listening to my son stomp around upstairs, being slobbered on by the dog and ignored by the cats. I am thankful for my friends – those that I can hug in person and those that live out in the interwebs.

I am thankful that there’s no snow on the ground yet. I am thankful that I have a job I love and that offers me amazing opportunities. I am thankful for the roof over my head and the ground beneath my feet.

I am thankful that a simple gift of tickets to the football game tomorrow still has the ability to light up my favorite 18-year-old’s eyes – just as they did when he was 7.

It’s probably wrong that this image is from the Green Bay Press Gazette.

The Lion should be chasing the Packer symbol. AHAHAHAHAHA. Who am I kidding?

Since 1934, y’all.

—- From the Hotfessional Family – Happy Thanksgiving (U.S.), a late Thanksgiving (Canada) and XXXOOO (the rest of the world) to all of you and yours. —-

From the WTF Files

Mr. Hot and I were at our local grocery store last weekend and ran across these:

Um. Really? Microwaveable pork rinds? I didn’t have the nerve to look at the calorie count, but I wonder if I should grab a pack for the weekend’s football watching marathon.

******lalalalalala******

In other news, I did go get my shot today AND got my prescription. And when I got back to the office and started looking at said prescription, I wanted to send a thank-you note to my nurse:

I mean, I’m not the most observant person, (obviously), but this guy needed to print out the prescription and initial it and make sure it said what it was supposed to and he didn’t blink when it said I was 27. Or that I was born the year AFTER I graduated from High School.

At least, that’s what I choose to believe. Snort.

—- My arm only hurt for a few hours afterwards. The ego boost wiped most of the pain out. —-
