Haiku Friday – Crawly Thing

The box elder bugs
warmed by the sun shining bright
come in to visit.
I don’t mind sharing
desk space with the tiny things.
Keyboard mountain climbs.
But the lap bound cat
does not ignore easily
the thought of bug lunch.
—- Like the mighty hunter, she teases it first and then…crunch. —-

I can’t stand box elder bugs! They’re too similarly shaped to cockroaches for me to be able to tolerate them in my house.
Mmm, they look mighty tasty. Not.
EWWWWWW – - bugs . . . *shudder*
I hate bugs. ANY kind of bugs.
Now my skin feels all crawly!

My outside of my old place used to be crawling with those bastards… Not so in the new apartment – though I do have other annoyances to deal with.
On another note – WOO HOO, you’re back! I stopped checking at some point last week, and on a whim decided to check today!
I like your bug picture, he’s cool. I always trap bugs found inside in cups and set them free outside. But if the cat catches them first it’s fair game, the circle of life.
What else are cats good for besides rats, mice, lizards, frogs, and birds?

Enjoy your lunch, Ree!

Yay for the cat! My children just cower and scream for mommy to kill the bug.

How funny is this? I actually considered feeding one of those bugs to our cat last night but I didn’t know if she’d eat it or not…

If only my cat would take care of bugs!
