Topic-less

When you have no real topic, bullets will do, right?

  • Once again, I dripped down the shirt I wore to work today.
  • This time, though, instead of drooling Tootsie Pop, it was balsamic vinagrette.
  • At least it came from eating a healthy salad and not candy.
  • One of the two elevators in my building is still out of service.
  • Which makes some of the elderly men who ride it VERY grouchy.
  • And makes trying to get to the laundry room and back during House commercials very difficult.
  • Shortman got a 99% on his Informative Speech.
  • The topic he selected was “Learning Styles”.
  • He got marked down for not projecting his voice.
  • 2.25 points gone for not being a big mouth like his Mom.
  • Did I mention it’s my laundry day?
  • Including handwashing two sweaters.
  • The Detroit Lions are playing Green Bay on Thanksgiving Day.
  • Guess who will be there rather than roasting a turkey and mashing potatoes?
  • Last Saturday was Mom’s birthday.
  • We ate cake and laughed at the youngest grandchild (aka The Kindergartener).
  • Last Saturday was the 39th anniversary of the Marshall University plane crash.
  • Last Saturday was exactly 1 year since I got laid off from The Bank that Shall Not be Named.
  • November 14th is a memorable day in my life.
  • I leave for India in less than three weeks.
  • Oh mah holy hell.
  • I still have to pick a winner for the October Save the Boobies campaign.
  • I haven’t forgotten. Promise.

—- Last time we went to a Thanksgiving Day football game, we had dinner afterwards at the International House of Pancakes. Should I get chocolate chip or strawberry waffles? —-

    * Dieting so I can fit in your suitcase for India.

    * And then Thanksgiving at your house. I have never had a Thanksgiving.

    * But I have tried candied yams.

    * And after I finished vomiting and washing my mouth out with pure vodka I threw it in the bin.

    * Cause even MPS wouldn’t eat it, and that man eats CHICKEN BONES!

    And that is my take on bullet point commenting.

    Tootsie Pop is probably easier to wash out and I hope you have a great time in India… and there was me thinking that the reference to bullets meant you were going to shoot some jerk! :)

    You are a my idol – no bird on Turkey Day but going out to eat? Unheard of in these parts but a genius idea which would finally end our Thanksgiving Debate we have each year: to brussel sprout or not to brussel sprout. I might have to become a sports fan after all!
