• Once again, I dripped down the shirt I wore to work today.
• This time, though, instead of drooling Tootsie Pop, it was balsamic vinagrette.
• At least it came from eating a healthy salad and not candy.
• One of the two elevators in my building is still out of service.
• Which makes some of the elderly men who ride it VERY grouchy.
• And makes trying to get to the laundry room and back during House commercials very difficult.
• Shortman got a 99% on his Informative Speech.
• The topic he selected was “Learning Styles”.
• He got marked down for not projecting his voice.
• 2.25 points gone for not being a big mouth like his Mom.
• Did I mention it’s my laundry day?
• Including handwashing two sweaters.
• The Detroit Lions are playing Green Bay on Thanksgiving Day.
• Guess who will be there rather than roasting a turkey and mashing potatoes?
• Last Saturday was Mom’s birthday.
• We ate cake and laughed at the youngest grandchild (aka The Kindergartener).
• Last Saturday was the 39th anniversary of the Marshall University plane crash.
• Last Saturday was exactly 1 year since I got laid off from The Bank that Shall Not be Named.
• November 14th is a memorable day in my life.
• I leave for India in less than three weeks.
• Oh mah holy hell.
• I still have to pick a winner for the October Save the Boobies campaign.
• I haven’t forgotten. Promise.

—- Last time we went to a Thanksgiving Day football game, we had dinner afterwards at the International House of Pancakes. Should I get chocolate chip or strawberry waffles? —-

• Pizza
• A 65-degree day in November
• Berry blast lip balm
• Sunday newspapers
• Nature walks

The box elder bugs
warmed by the sun shining bright
come in to visit.

I don’t mind sharing
desk space with the tiny things.
Keyboard mountain climbs.

But the lap bound cat
does not ignore easily
the thought of bug lunch.
