Sharing Saturday – Cleaning for a Reason

Published by Ree at 10:44 pm under Sharing Saturday

From my dear friend Krissa

Cleaning for a Reason

If you know any woman currently undergoing Chemo, please pass the word to her that there is a cleaning service that provides FREE
housecleaning – 1 time per month for 4 months while she is in treatment.

All she has to do is sign up and have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment. Cleaning for a Reason will have a participating maid service in her zip code area arrange for the service. http://www.cleaningforareason.org/

Please pass this information on to bless a woman going through Breast Cancer treatment. This organization serves the entire USA and currently has 547 partners to help these women. It’s our job to pass the word and let them know that there are people out there that care. Be a blessing to someone and pass this information along.

—- I wanted to find more to share, but Shortman is here and we’ve got pizza and three hours of Dream Team queued up to watch. —-

What a wonderful idea. I’ll definitely keep this in mind, although I’d love it if I didn’t have to pass it along because that would mean that no one I know has cancer.

I’ve heard of this before, and I think it is such a great idea. You always want to know how to help, and these people have figured it out!

I signed my mom up this past summer while she was undergoing breast cancer (surgery, chemo, etc.). It was a fabulous service. It was once a month for 4 months and that helped soooo much for her piece of mind. While it may not be as often as you would normally clean, she didn’t have to worry about doing it cuz she knew it would be taken care of at least once a month (and I didn’t have to make sure it got done either). In our area there was only one provider but they did it willingly and happily. In the end, my parents ended up hiring them for a cleaning before they went south for the winter so it helped the service too. Great job and great promotion!

That is a wonderful thing for these women. The one woman I know has finished chemo and looks fabulous. We’re hoping everything turns out for a happy ending–she has FIVE kids under the age of 12.
