<description>I was in grade school, and remember the explosion too well. I remember watching the TV and knowing it didn&#039;t look right.

<description>Fourth grade. Day or two after the Bears won the Super Bowl.

Can you imagine the incredible high that we all felt from the Fridge and Sweetness winning the big game followed by that incredible low hearing how the First Teacher in Space was lost with all those other astronauts?

Yeah.

<description>Ah, 1986. Such a good year, but such a bad one in many ways.

I was at work when we heard the news about the Challenger explosion. What a horrible tragedy!

I got laid off from my job just a week before Mr. Dizzy and I got married, so I spent the first few months of (re)married life (this is my second marriage) job hunting. The first job I found only lasted 2 months, because the boss was a pervert and kept trying to look down my blouse! *sheesh*

When Mr. Dizzy and I got married, I moved into his small (720 sq. ft!) house, and we had to pare down two households of stuff! So I had the opposite problem from you - - too bad we didn&#039;t know each other back then - - I had an extra two courches! :-)

Thanks for the trip back in time, Ree!

<description>I remember that. My mom was a teacher. It was a teacher workday, so I was out of school and with my mom at her school instead of my own, and we were in someone else&#039;s classroom, when they announced on the intercom that the space shuttle had blown up. Everyone was very upset, because she was a teacher! She was one of them! We watched tv and talked about it the rest of the afternoon.</description>
