Grace in Small Things: 71/365
- Fresh fruit – strawberries, pineapple, bananas and kiwis – from the supermercado down the road.
- A box of mangos for $5 from the guy on the corner.
- An almost-ready for prime time living room.
- Chicago Closet Works. They saved me. And relatively inexpensively, too.
- This stupid cold that I’ve had since Wednesday is almost gone.
—- It’s 84 in Chicago right now. All the windows are open and there’s FRESH juice in my future. —-

I am so jealous of you having fresh strawberries. Ours will ripen in a couple of weeks, hopefully.
I am soo jealous about your city living. once the kids are grown and out we are moving to a downtown somewhere. When we lived downtown here, in Raleigh, there was no downtown but now there is kinda. I would love Chicago or Boston.
Enjoy!
Thanks for mentioning Closet Works in your blog. Your closet looks great!
Fresh fruit. You had me right there. And the closet organizers. Now I despise you a little.

A whole box of mangos for $5?! How many mangos is that? That’s the beauty of a small green grocer in the big city; that’s grace in small things for sure. And all that fruit will finish off your cold.

I planted a strawberry bed this year, and with all the rain and sun and humidity, the plants are growing like crazy!! I’m hoping for a late crop this year, and LOTS of berries next year!
I love going to Chicago and going to the Supermercado’s – - always find the best things there!
I’m not sure exactly where you are living in Chicago, but if you are anywhere near Western Avenue, near Blue Island, check out Calabria’s Import Shop. That is an awesome place, and you will find lots of good things there – - I always do!
P.S. Check out my post today on my blog (http://dizzymslizzy.blogspot.com) – - it’s my Wedding Anniversary, so I posted a very special GIST!
