   Ouch and me too. I went this week and got to meet our new dentist “Dr. Noah”. I have underwear older than this kid. But he was eye candy so I figured it evened things out.

   I always hated dentists. HATED. THEM. All the past dentists were sadistic bastards. Every one of them.

   Then a friend referred me to my current dentist, who promises no pain. And you know what? He means it! I have now gone to him for 12 years, and even with all the extensive work he’s had to do, he has never hurt me. Not once!

   Along with the “no pain” policy, he’s cute as a button, nice, got a wicked, warped sense of humor, and loves all the same types of music I do.

   It feels really strange to actually look forward to a dental visit!

   Oh, don’t even get me started.

   I have a good one on Lincoln and Belmont if you need a rec! She gives Borders gift cards when you go to your cleanings every 6 months!

   hahaha. I unfortunately have always liked the dentist. I find that a trip to the dentist is better than the OBGYN (not that the guys will relate……ok COUGH!). Good luck with getting that fixed. Maybe you can ask for a sticker before you leave the office – lol

   Don’t do what I did…. I waited until I was in a lot of pain, but down played it when I went to the dentist. My plan “worked” he didn’t overly examine me, said simply I had a piece of food stuck between my teeth. He assured me I would be fine in a few hours. I wasn’t. Did I call / go back? Of course not! I waited a few more days until I didn’t sleep for 2 nights and developed a lovely infection. My dentist’s partner asked “all the right questions” when I still tried to down play my pain. He found a cracked tooth and immediately did root canal. While root canal is definitely not fun, the hurt is way less then what you feel when you ignore.

    Wow! Poor you! When I first read of your house guest I was amazed how adaptable your cats were. My cat would definitely not stand for any animal visitors (not that he likes people visitors, or appreciates that his grandpa and his grandpa’s girl friend are coming over tonight and staying for the next 9 days). But another animal, he would definitely put his paw down. I once made the mistake of petting and feeding a stray cat. He got so furious, my sweet indoor cat, bolted out to scare away the trespasser, with murder in his eyes.

    After suffering from an abscessed tooth for 3 days over a long weekend, I learned that most ER’s have an on-call Dentist.
    Just in case you were wondering.

    These days I don’t cry anymore when I get my teeth cleaned. Been a long time getting there.
